Apple’s public beta program is preparing to welcome iPhone users curious about the newly released iOS 18. Currently, Apple is expected to release the first public beta for iOS 18, macOS Sequoia, and several other major updates.
How to register
Before releasing a public beta, Apple allows you to pre-register for the beta program so your device is ready and able to install new software as soon as it’s available. Here’s how to do it.
If you plan to install the iOS 18 public beta on your iPhone or any other beta release for another device you’ll need to sign up for Apple’s public beta program first. Signing up is quick and easy and is available now at beta.apple.com. Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Access beta.apple.com using any device
Step 2: Press the blue “Sign Up” button
Step 3: Sign in with your Apple account
Step 4: Read the Beta Software Program Agreement and press the blue Agree button
Step 5: Follow the device-specific instructions to get the beta update on that device
Public beta versions will be available for most Apple devices but not all. The following public beta versions are expected to be available:
- iOS 18
- iPadOS 18
- macOS Sequoia
- watchOS 11
- tvOS 18
- HomePod 18
