As with other Corsair products, the Corsair VOID RGB Elite headset features a sleek black and bright yellow theme. It connects to both PC and PS4 using a 2.4GHz wireless connection. The headset offers a range of up to 12 meters or 40 feet. During our tests, the range was reliable, allowing freedom to move to other rooms while staying connected. This added flexibility is useful, as you can keep listening even when stepping away from your PC.

The first thing you’ll notice about the Corsair VOID is its deep ear cups. For gamers with larger heads, this extra space provides comfort that’s hard to find in other headsets. The large ear cups ensure no ear pinching, making long gaming sessions more enjoyable.
However, those with smaller heads might find the fit a little loose. The wide design, while comfortable, can feel wobbly for some users. Even so, the cups remain secure during movement, though at the expense of some flexibility.
Still, the overall design excels in comfort. The heavily padded ear cups and cushioned headband make this headset suitable for long gaming sessions. After hours of playing The Witcher 3, I barely noticed the headset on my head. There was no discomfort, even after extended use.

The Corsair VOID RGB Elite offers solid features at a budget-friendly price. While you get wireless 7.1 surround sound, you sacrifice wired connection options like USB or 3.5mm. However, the 50mm Neodymium drivers ensure excellent sound quality, making up for the lack of wired options.
The advertised battery life is 16 hours, which proved accurate during our tests. These headphones lasted through long gaming sessions without needing a charge. The audio performance, especially in the mids, stands out. However, the headset struggles in more complex soundscapes, especially during action-packed moments.
The 7.1 surround sound, available only on PC, is a key selling point. You can activate it by double-tapping a dial on the right ear cup. Unfortunately, there’s no sound or light indicator to confirm activation. However, the iCUE software offers more control over this feature, including EQ presets and RGB lighting.

Performance
The Corsair VOID Elite delivers impressive audio quality, especially for its price range. In Journey, the headset’s clarity and power were evident. It handles mids particularly well, enhancing atmospheric moments like footsteps in Horizon Zero Dawn or monster sounds in Resident Evil.
However, in busier scenes, the audio can become muddled. When multiple sounds compete for attention, the soundscape loses some clarity. Even so, the performance is commendable for a headset at this price point.
The microphone is also a standout feature. In Discord voice chats, it picked up audio with great precision and minimized background noise. The flip-to-mute function is convenient for quick mic control, adding to the overall practicality of the headset.
