Razer has just launched the new 2024 version of DeathAdder V3 Pro, bringing small design improvements to make the gaming experience more perfect. COMPARED TO THE 2023 VERSION, THE DESIGN IS THERE’S NO CHANGE BUT IT’S SMOOTHER
DeathAdder V3 Pro (I call it DAV3P for short) version 2024 has a completely renovated surface, with a super smooth matte plastic surface. I don’t know what coating Razer used, but it feels very smooth to the touch. This new feature helps those with sweaty hands feel less sticky and squeaky when using the mouse for a long time, especially because it does not stick to fingerprints, making the mouse look much cleaner.
DAV3P 2024 still maintains an ergonomic design specifically for right-handed gamers, and is among the lightest gaming mice in the world, only 63g. The first time I held it, I didn’t think it would be so light. It’s incredibly light. Compared to the Razer Cobra Pro (77g) I’m using, it’s significantly lighter. The size of the mouse is suitable for the majority of users in Vietnam. Compared to my small hands, the mouse still fits neatly and hugs the curve of my hand.
The mouse is still equipped with 6 physical buttons: 2 main, 2 secondary, 1 scroll button, and 1 button under the mouse. The two main keys are separated so each mouse click feels very distinct and precise. The two extra keys on the left are positioned very appropriately and within easy reach, helping you avoid slipping or wasting a few seconds trying to find the right position to press.
The biggest minus point is that Razer is still equipped with only one key on the bottom of the mouse, this key is used both as the power button and to adjust DPI. Probably because it focuses on customers who are professional gamers, as well as wanting to minimize the mouse weight, Razer has cut down on these buttons. Thinking back, professional gamers only adjust one DPI level and try hard until the end of the game, no one ever adjusts DPI in the middle of a game. This shortcoming only affects common users (like me).
Along the body of the mouse, both sides are slightly adjusted compared to the 2023 version, making the mouse more sturdy and not creaking in the grip. However, I think Razer should include an anti-slip rubber sticker in the box, so that those who need it can add it, making the grip experience better, and making the combat in the game more tense.
Below the mouse is equipped with three feet made of 100% white PTFE plastic. There is no need to say much more about this PTFE material, gamers are surely familiar with it, this is a material commonly found on all high-end gaming mice, helping the mouse move smoother and usable. on all surfaces, from rough like a tabletop to smooth like a leather pad or even glass.
The version I hold in my hand comes with a 1.8m long Razer Speedflex Cable USB Type C cable covered with an anti-tangle cord and a HyperPolling Wireless Dongle that helps increase the polling rate to the fastest 8000 Hz in the world.

The downside of the 2023 version is that there is no place to store the USB, but in the 2024 version that I am using, Razer completely removed the USB. Whatever creates a problem, eliminate it. OLD CONFIGURATION AND BATTERY STILL LAST
I consider DAV3P 2024 to be an old wine in a new bottle. Although it is old wine, it is the best wine, and with such good wine, why does it need to be renewed? The mouse is still equipped with the Razer Focus Pro 30K optical sensor with the highest accuracy on the market at 99.8%, with pixels up to 30,000 DPI, and a speed of 750 IPS. With this configuration, you can play FPS or MOBA games without worry. The mouse is also supported with additional powerful features to support and enhance better control such as Asymmetric Cut-Off, Smart Tracking, and Motion Sync. All of these features can be easily tweaked using Razer Synapse software.
The Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 is the most profitable thing on the DAV3P because this is the most advanced switch that resists double-clicking, has no latency, and has a lifespan of up to 90 million clicks. In the game Red Dead Redemption 2, with my old mouse, the mouse clicks did not give me a feeling of certainty, it made me often accidentally shoot civilians by lightly touching the left mouse button while talking or greeting them. , and so my character was wanted all over the state. But when I experience this game with DAV3P, I am much more confident, I no longer shoot civilians by mistake, and every mouse click is very consistent and firm, not at all loose or wobbly like my old mouse. However, I’m still wanted, because I still shoot civilians, but at least I shoot on purpose, it’s my decision, not the mouse’s decision.
The mouse’s battery life is very impressive, up to 90 hours (if using a polling rate of 1000Hz). Indeed, I cannot feel the weight of any battery in the mouse, because the mouse is very light, so the battery must also be very small, but small but the martial arts are very profound. The mouse will consume more battery when used for 24 hours at a polling rate of 4000Hz, and 17 hours at a polling rate of 8000Hz.
Part of the battery life is because the mouse is not equipped with any RGB LEDs, there is only one small LED light at the top of the mouse that shows the connection status and on/off status of the mouse.

The biggest limitation is that the mouse does not have a Bluetooth connection, which reduces the flexibility of the mouse.
